Installing stOrm bot for Nimbuzz

Table of Contents

How to install stOrm bot for Nimbuzz. You need to install Python Phyton2.5.x - 2.7.x, you can download Python here . After installing Python, download stOrm bot, Asdot-bot or pybot for Nimbuzz (include pluggins for quiz, antikick/autoposting at room) and extract it. Newer version are here.

* Go to the extracted directory and find the configuration file config.txt, open and edit this file with your Nimbuzz user id (use Notepad or Notepad++).

config.txt;
save and exit

* Go to stOrm bot directory then open or double click file storm.py
* bot online

HOW TO JOIN ROOM

* Login your id_bot_admin with your favorite jabber client and join room
* add id_bot to your contact list
* pvt your bot;

join room_name@conference.nimbuzz.com

* now enjoy play your bot

You have no any bot? Now you can handle your rooms using commands like a bot. Just type /help in chat room then you will see a few other commands.

You can run this bot from Linux server. If you have python2.4.x check out here How to upgrade to Python2.7.x

nice post but there is much more easy way to install the bot if u want to try just check
easy nimbuzz bot installation and there you have video too of how to install the bot.

coba leave room dl (bot ol tanpa msk room)jika stabil, delete file presence_plugin.py yg ada di forder plugins. nyalakan lg bot-nya dan join ke room.

running di shell account maupun vps juga bisa. Saya test di shellmix.com jg berjalan mulus, di vps linux juga mulus. Silahkan dicoba, jika ada pertanyaan tinggalkan pesan disana.

there is a difference between nimbuzz and jabber, that why some plugins can not work like a charm.

yeah you're right, some plugins didn't work like a charm :D

I suggest you to try modify/update plugins or using autoban application. in your case (autoban plugin) I haven't tried. Ain't play nimbuzz anymore :D

just in case if your bot offline after an minute, you need to delete plugins at /plugins/presence_plugin.py file and/or another plugins that have relation with pressence.

well hmm..I haven't tried Python-2.7.2.amd64, I have no OS 64bit.

I tried run bot on Python-2.7.2 a few hours ago and it's working like a charm ;)

btw, You might be interested to run your bot 24*7 using VPS or shell account.

I've tried python 3.2.2 X86 doesnt work for me.
might be you should try another talisman bot, but im not sure coz I ain't playing nimbuzz any more.

Well atlast I succeeded to install d bot.But in pv8 d bot working perfectly but in room d bot didn't working properly.Some commands it doesn't follow.wht to do??

you dont have to do anything about python app. just install it then config your bot and run your bot.

your on pc or shell/vps? can you give me more detail your issues?

if your on pc, actually you only need to change id bot and password after python already installed then run bot.
Bot will auto accept to anyone who's add her.

@Asdot:I mean when d bot in d room.it didn't respond some commands properly.Like voting command.It only creates poll but when other users vote it says "U don't hv sufficient privileges".Then how cud d users vote??Any solution??

@saswata; try to change access level on plugin, open the plugin then scroll down and look at something like this "register_command_handler..... blabla"

-100 = full ignored, -1=blocked, 0=none, 1=poor member =D , 10=user, 11=member, 15=moder, 16=moder, 20=admin, 30=owner, 40=pionir, 100=bot admin

mksd ane kl bot dijalankan dipc bisa atw kaga :D kl jalan normal brarti kan config dll dah bener. kl udah naaah....tgl divpsnya, kl built-in python insya lgsg ngacir dah tuh botnya.

@ranjan, autokick? It's not from ban plugins I guess.
Try this commands to disable it:
filt time 0
filt caps 0
filt like 0
filt len 0

(0=disable, 1=enable)
